* If you want an added challenge, dont bring any Hunters so that Sporebats will not be killed during Phase 3. In TBC Classic, the Sporebats have greatly increased HP to the point that it is not practical to kill them. That makes Phase 3 a very tight DPS race to try to burn down Vashj before the entire platform is covered with Spores. ### Tempest Keep The Eye
*This raid is completable with suggested IP nerfs. Strategies were written/tested with (1) bot damage and healing each reduced to 50% of normal strength, and (2) HP of all raid mobs restored to Patch 2.4.3 levels (i.e., reverting the global 30% nerf to HP of TBC raid mobs from Patch 3.0.2).
**Trash Mobs**
* Crimson Hand Centurion: Mages will spam Polymorph when Arcane Flurry is being channeled in order to interrupt the spell.
**Alar**
* Defeatable Solo with Bots: Yes, no manual control or command of bots needed, but proper pre-pull positioning is important (see Tips & Tricks below).
* Coded Strategies for Phase 1:
* The main tank and first assist tank will rotate platforms to tank the boss. The main tank will start at the West platform to pick up Alar on the pull, and the first assist tank will start at the Northwest platform. When Alar moves to the Northwest platform, the main tank will move to the Northeast platform, and so on, to ensure there is always a tank at the next platform ready for the boss.
* Melee dps will follow Alar from platform-to-platform. Ranged dps and healers will also follow Alar but from below.
The second assist tank will pick up Embers of Alar, which will be prioritized by ranged DPS.
* When Alar starts the Flame Quills sequence, melee will jump down. The main tank will wait at the bottom of the West ramp, and the first assist tank will wait at the bottom of the East ramp, for Alar to land (which is random and can be either the West or East platform). Ranged will wait in the center of the room, and melee DPS will wait near the rooms entrance, until Alar picks a platform.
* When Alar dies, all bots will move to and wait near the center of the room for Alar to respawn.
* Coded Strategies for Phase 2:
* The main tank will pick up Alar, but when Melt Armor is applied, the first assist tank will take over. The tanks will swap back and forth throughout the phase as the debuff is applied.
* The second assist tank and whichever of the main tank or first assist tank that is not tanking Alar will together pick up Embers of Alar for ranged DPS to focus down.
* Bots will avoid Flame Patches and also will spread out during the Dive Bomb sequence.
* Tips & Tricks:
* Alar always starts the fight by landing on the West platform (right at the top of the ramp). The best way to pull is to have all ranged bots and your third tank stay below the West platform with “nc +stay” (NOT the “stay” command), and then pull at the West platform with melee DPS and your first two tanks following you.
* It is best to use a Warrior or Druid for the main tank and first assist tank. This is because they can charge to get to Alar faster after Flame Quills to limit the stacking of Flame Buffet.
**Void Reaver**
* Defeatable Solo with Bots: Yes, no manual control or command of bots needed.
* Coded Strategies:
* Ranged bots will start the fight by spreading in a circle around the boss. After the initial spread, they will run to avoid Arcane Orbs, staying at range to keep the Orbs from hitting melee.
* The tanks will fight for aggro and try to keep the boss in the middle of the room.
* Bots that have abilities that drop aggro (such as Warlocks and Hunters) will use them immediately when targeted by Void Reaver.
*Tips & Tricks:
* At least three tanks are recommended to ensure that the boss is always aggroed on a tank.
**High Astromancer Solarian**
* Defeatable Solo with Bots: Yes, no manual control or command of bots needed.
* Coded Strategies:
* Ranged bots will stack at a distance from the boss.
* All bots will run away from players/bots when targeted with Wrath of the Astromancer.
* When the boss disappears, all bots will stack and wait for the Solarium Agents to spawn.
* When Solarian reappears, melee will split into two groups and each target one of the Solarium Priests.
* Priest bots will cast Fear Ward on the main tank in phase 2.
* Tips & Tricks:
* None.
**Kaelthas Sunstrider**
* Defeatable Solo with Bots: Yes, no manual control or command of bots needed, but moving to proper positions with bots between advisors and phases helps greatly (see Tips & Tricks below).
* Coded Strategies for Phase 1:
* Thaladred: The fixated bot will attempt to “kite” Thaladred, but this is done by simply moving away from him in a straight line.
* Sanguinar: The main tank will tank Sanguinar and move him up against the West wall. Priest bots will cast Fear Ward on the tank. DPS will wait 12 seconds before attacking.
* Capernian: A Warlock tank will pick up the boss by spamming Searing Pain. The specific Warlock can be selected with the assistant flag. Ranged bots will spread in an arc at distance from Capernian, and ranged DPS will wait 12 seconds before attacking. The main tank will stand near Capernian to try to bait Conflagrations, but all other melee will stay far away and not engage.
* Telonicus: The first assist tank will tank Telonicus and move him up against the West wall near Sanguinars position. DPS will wait 12 seconds before attacking.
* Coded Strategies for Phase 2:
* The main tank will tank the Axe and keep it away from the group, and assist tanks will try to tank all of the other legendary weapons.
* Bots will generally use their default AoE attack strategies, but for single targeting, they will focus down the legendary weapons in the following order: Staff, Mace, Sword, Dagger, Axe (ranged only), Bow, Shield.
* Bots will loot and equip weapons based on spec—for specifics on which specs will equip which weapons, see the RaidTempestKeep.cpp file.
* Hunters will use the Bow to create and equip the legendary Arrows, and wielders of the Staff will use it to activate its protective aura.
* From this point on, if bots die, they will lose equipped legendary weapons and will not automatically reequip. They can be made to reequip by commanding them to “equip weapon.” Otherwise, they automatically call “equip upgrade” when within 150 yards of Kaelthas to ensure that they are equipped for the encounter.
* Coded Strategies for Phase 3:
* When the advisors respawn but before they reactivate, the main tank, first assist tank, and Warlock tank will move to designated positions to get ready to pick up their assigned targets. A healer will follow them. All other bots will follow the player until the advisors reactivate (assuming the player is not filling one of the above roles).
* Bots will first kill Thaladred. Then, melee and one Hunter will move to Sanguinar (Hunter to apply the debuff from the legendary Bow). Ranged will target Capernian instead and then help with Sanguinar before all bots finish Telonicus.
* Coded Strategies for Phase 4:
* The main tank will pick up Kaelthas and move him back to his starting position. Other tanks will pick up Phoenixes and try to keep them away from the raid.
* DPS will not attack Phoenixes but will attack Phoenix Eggs.
* All bots will move out of Flame Strikes.
* When Kaelthas casts Mind Control, bots that have the legendary Dagger equipped (Rogues, Hunters, Enhancement Shamans, and Fury Warriors) will attack mind-controlled bots to break the MC.
* When Kaelthas puts up Shock Barrier, all bots will focus DPS to break the barrier and interrupt the Pyroblast. The main tank will use the legendary Shields ability so that if the bots fail to break the barrier in time, the tank can survive the first Pyroblast.
* Coded Strategies for Phase 5:
* Bots will spread out after Gravity Lapse is cast. Note that gravity mechanics do not work properly on bots. They will fall toward the ground immediately, and some of them will go back to standing, while others will remain floating but just above the ground. Unfortunately, bots that are floating are unable to attack or cast spells, which can be a problem if your healers end up floating. They may even be unable to return to the ground after Gravity Lapse ends. These are issues with bots generally and cannot be solved by this strategy.
* Tips & Tricks:
* While the positions for Sanguinar and Telonicus are fixed, they are not for Capernian and Thaladred. It is best for Capernian to die in phase 1 near her starting position; to allow that, you will want the raid to be in front of her, about 30 yards away, when she activates. It is best for Thaladred to die far South in the room away from the other advisors. To allow this, have bots stay a distance away from him to the South when the fight starts and reactivate follow when he gets farther South. How far you want to wait depends on your raids DPS. If you do this, make sure to message “follow” to the raid again after he dies, or the last bot to get fixated will stay where it was when Thaladred died.
* Before phase 3, if you are not tanking (in which case youll need to stay near Sanguinar/Telonicus before they reactivate), you can lead the bots to near Thaladred since he will be the first target (and preferably not North of him to avoid him immediately heading back toward the other advisors).
* The best tank combination is Paladin or Warrior main tank (so they can equip the Shield to absorb Pyroblast if needed) and Druid first assist tank (so it can equip the Staff to protect itself and the main tank in phase 3).
* It is helpful for Shamans to have co +tremor enabled for at least phase 1 and 3 because Sanguinar fears.
